By pohheng | July 31, 2008
One of the most important thing to do if you want to reverse prediabetes is to lose weight. A 10 to 15% weight loss can reduce your risk of developing into Type 2 Diabetes by 50%.
Here are 10 Useful Tips to Keep Trim
- Exercise regularly
- Never skip meals and try to eat more meals a day in smaller portions. Even distribution of food throughout the day is important. Better to eat like a rabbit than a bear.
- Eat high fibre food
- Weigh yourself regularly
- Reduce snacking or junk food
- Restrict food that contains high saturated fats and cholestrol
- Choose to bake, steam or broil your food over frying
- Use sugar substitutes if you have to sweeten food and beverages
- Order only what you need to eat or eat only what you need
- Learn to stop eating before you feel full
These tips have been instrumental in my path of reversing my prediabetes so why not give it a try. Best wishes.
